Warfare, Women & Winning: What It Took to Get Here
Dear Reader
Ooowee. I missed y’all.
It’s been a minute since our last WANTED newsletter—and in that time, life has been life-ing. My family went through some things. My health took a few hits. And more than once, I found myself thinking, “Lord, I’m not worthy of these Job problems.”
Then it hit me:
It wasn’t about my goodness. It was about the greatness of the mission.
So... What’s the Mission?
Back in 2020, I declared that I wanted to walk alongside 2 million women as they transform their lives—and that my story would be the spark. I didn’t know the how. But through prayer and strategy, it became clear: the memoir was the doorway.
It’s a space to tell the truth. To confront the hard things. To imagine and build the lives we were told were impossible.
And the closer I got to making that vision real, the more resistance showed up. That’s how I knew: it’s not just about me. It’s about something sacred—and much bigger.
Why We’re Still Standing
This book, this tour, this movement—they carry power. And power attracts resistance.
But I don’t back down from purpose. I stayed ten toes down. Clear. Grounded. Focused. Not because it was easy—but because I believe this work will change lives. And because women I haven’t even met yet are waiting for what we’re about to deliver.
The Soft Life Is Strategy
But grit alone didn’t get me here. Softness did.
I didn’t slow the grind—I still love what I do. But I made space for joy. For pleasure. For my kids. For laughter. For ease.
Life sat me down. And in the stillness, I discovered this truth:
I’ve done more by resting more.
It felt counterintuitive. But that rhythm of rest and reset brought me clarity, calm, and creativity. I used to think success meant exhaustion.
Now I know:
Rest is strategy. Softness is power.
What We Built in the Quiet
Even while it looked quiet from the outside—we were building. Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Coached women across the country
Wrote blog posts
Launched our podcast (finally!): Books, Bullets & Babies
Soft-launched the Without Apology Tour
Completed my debut memoir, A Pot to Piss In (drops June 3)
Designed the full tour, launching June 7 in Madison
Built the Madison Residency—a 20+ stop, citywide experience that will serve as the blueprint for the global tour
What’s New in WANTED
As WANTED returns, some things will feel familiar—others, refreshingly new.
We’re keeping core sections like CEO’s Corner, Apprehended, Justice, Loots and Spoils, and Ransom—plus our signature Dirty Word for that weekly dose of truth.
But you’ll notice tighter storytelling, cleaner layouts, and preview-style blocks with links when you want more. We're giving you more—packaged as less.
This version of WANTED will follow the Without Apology Tour, starting in Madison and reaching across the globe—so wherever you are, you’re part of the journey.
One final shift: instead of new reads, Apprehended will go deeper into A Pot to Piss In—its themes, its characters, and what it means to reclaim your story without apology.
Thank you for walking this with me.
The book drops June 3.
The tour launches June 7.
Madison is the blueprint.
Let’s go.
With love + grit,
Sagashus
