OUR STORY
Infamous Mothers did not start as a business. It started as a question during my doctoral work studying women at the intersections of identity, culture, and power. At the time, conversations around motherhood, feminism, and social justice were expanding, but the woman I was looking for was missing. When she did appear, it was at the end of the story—as someone who survived or overcame, but not as someone shaping what comes next. I wanted to know if the women we dismiss and discount could actually be the ones capable of changing everything.
At the same time, I was living the life I was studying—raising children, in school, and building something of my own. I turned to experts for guidance and found inspiration, but also misalignment. I kept asking—would this actually work for a life like mine, not a simplified version, but the full weight of it? That question expanded beyond me to women living in complexity—carrying responsibility, ambition, and layered experiences that didn’t fit neatly into expectations.
Infamous Mothers was built in that gap: a space for women whose lives are layered and who are still choosing to build. We don’t separate parts of women to help them grow—we build for real life.

Meet the Founder/CEO
Sagashus Levingston is the founder of Infamous Mothers and the architect behind a body of work rooted in storytelling, identity, and ownership.
Her work began in research, studying women at the intersections of identity, culture, and power, and asking questions about who gets to be seen as capable, credible, and influential. That work did not stay in theory. It became something lived—shaped by her own experience as a mother, a builder, and a woman navigating complexity while creating something meaningful.
Through Infamous Mothers, Sagashus has built a platform that bridges story and strategy, helping women move with clarity, ownership, and intention as they build their lives. Her work spans media, community, and live experiences, all grounded in one belief: that a woman’s story is not a limitation, but a foundation.
