Own
the Bag.™
Own the things you carry.
Create the life you want.Your story. Your finances.
Your relationships. Your identity.
An initiative of Infamous Mothers®, brought to communities through the Without Apology Tour.
A financial empowerment initiative from Infamous Mothers. Are the things you’re carrying
taking you where you want to go?
Think about the life you want to live. What do you want your money to make possible? What relationships do you want to nurture? Who do you want to become?
Own the Bag connects those possibilities to the choices you make—with your story, your finances, your relationships, and your identity.
What matters to you?
Make room for it.
“Giving is a blessing.”
Generosity is part of who you are. You also have goals you want to save for.
How can you give and make room for your future?“I’m the dependable one.”
People count on you. You want to show up for them and honor your own priorities.
What can you offer—and what do you need to keep?“I deserve something nice.”
Pleasure matters to you. So do the other things you want your money to make possible.
How can enjoyment fit into your plan?Your values help set your direction. Your financial choices can help you move toward it.
Carry your life forward.
What you believe.
The meaning you give your life and the possibilities you imagine for your future.
What you do with money.
How you earn, give, spend, save, and plan—and what those choices make possible.
How you connect.
The care you give and receive, your commitments, and the boundaries you choose.
Who you understand yourself to be.
Your values, roles, desires, and the woman you are becoming.

Some things are light.
Some are heavy.
They’re yours to own.
Joy, ambition, love, commitments, and responsibilities can all travel with you. Ownership means choosing how you carry them as you move toward the life you want.
You bring your goals. Storytelling, reflection, mentoring, financial education, and resource connections support your next steps.
“I took ownership of my story, and my finances started to change.”
Start with where
you want to go.
Own the Bag™ is a wealth-building initiative that begins with a 12-week financial-wellness curriculum and continues through ongoing conversations, workshops, gatherings, challenges, community, accountability, and support.
Designed to close the gap between women and their financial institutions, it connects practical education with relationships that support the lives women want to build.
Choose your direction.
Name something you want to create, experience, or make possible. Give that goal a place in your plan.
Connect what you carry.
Explore how your beliefs, habits, relationships, and sense of yourself support that goal—and where you want to make a different choice.
Make a money move.
Connect your goal to an action: save toward it, plan your giving, make a spending decision, or reach out to a useful financial resource.
Build on your progress.
Reflect on what you tried, recognize what’s moving you forward, and choose your next step with support.

What do you want your money to make possible?
- The keys to your own home.
- A business ready to grow and scale.
- A trip to Dubai—or wherever you dream of going.
- A stronger financial foundation for your family.
- Whatever else your dreams imagine.
Our hope is that women leave with greater confidence, a clear path toward their goals, and stronger relationships with financial institutions that are the right fit for them.

A bag of your own.
A future of your own.
How does the story you tell about yourself connect to your dollars? How do your relationships and identity shape the choices you make with money?
Own the Bag Youth helps girls explore those connections through age-appropriate financial education, conversations, reflection, and mentoring. Their stories, relationships, identity, and dollars belong in the same conversation.
Financial literacy—and conversations about how money connects to who we are and how we live—is too often missing from education. That gap has real effects on people’s lives. We want to address it now, while girls are imagining and building their futures.
A Madison pilot. We’re piloting Own the Bag Youth with a school here in Madison, Wisconsin, as part of the Madison residency. This local pilot will help shape the youth experience as we build toward the broader 2027 initiative.

The support continues.
An initiative of Infamous Mothers®, brought to communities through the Without Apology Tour, Own the Bag will connect women with ongoing conversations, workshops, gatherings, challenges, accountability, and support.
Own the Bag is also planned to become part of the Infamous Mothers Lifestyle app, giving women a place to keep learning, practicing, and connecting beyond the 12-week curriculum.
Help build that pathway →Local partnerships.
A national vision.
We’re inviting credit unions across the country to explore partnerships for the 2027 launch and future Without Apology Tour stops—connecting women with practical financial education, trusted relationships, and resources for their everyday lives.
Schools, community organizations, other financial institutions, and funders are also welcome to express interest.
Partnership starts with the community: who you serve, what they want to build, and what support can help them move forward.
Ways to contribute.
Host an experience. Support access through funding. Contribute financial education. Help build lasting relationships with resources in your community.
Progress with meaning.
Progress begins with participants’ own goals. We want to understand what changes in their confidence, financial habits, savings, debt, income, and access to useful resources.
