It’s a testimony, blueprint…and summons.

A POT TO P*SS IN IS MORE THAN A MEMOIR

About the Book

A Pot to P*ss In is a memoir by Dr. Sagashus Levingston—a mother of six who dared to build legacy, wealth, and freedom, even after her own mother told her children, “Your mama doesn’t have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out.”

That moment sparked something deeper.

“I thought I was writing a book about buying a home—and how that journey collided with systems like banking, incarceration, education, and social services. But it became something more. Writing the book was how I confronted that shame. How I reclaimed my story—on my own terms.”

What began as personal became political. This book challenges who gets to dream, build, and belong—especially when mothering through survival. It’s about faith and story as much as money and credit. And it’s a summons to do the impossible—without apology.

What This Book Is About…

A Pot to P*ss In is a memoir about what happens when a woman decides she’s done apologizing for her dreams—even the ones that don’t make sense to anyone else.

It’s about mothering while broke.
Building while grieving.
And showing up when you’re not even sure how you’re still standing.

This book isn’t about faking it till you make it.
It’s about making it till you make it—raw, messy, and real.

It’s not about being perfect.
It’s about being honest. It’s about doing the impossible.

Key themes: Shame. Power. Money. Motherhood. Making a way—without apology.

Why This Story Matters Right Now

Too many women are still being told to shrink, apologize, and wait.
A Pot to P*ss In is for the ones who are done with that—especially right now.

Because some of us are carrying dreams and trauma at the same time.
Because we’re rebuilding, restarting, or on the edge of a breakthrough we’ve never seen before.
Because we need strategy, not just survival. Support, not just motivation.

Inside, you’ll get tools to:
✔️ Rebuild your confidence after life knocks you down
✔️ Set boundaries and mean it
✔️ Navigate ambition, motherhood, and love without disappearing
✔️ Turn survival into clarity—and clarity into a plan

This isn’t just a story. It’s your roadmap for right now.

The Framework

  • Bet on Yourself.

Waiting for permission? You might be waiting a mighty long time. This book is your reminder to bet on yourself—and give yourself the green light.

  • Do the Impossible.

They say: stay small, don’t ask for too much. This book is your reminder to not listen them. It’s an invitation to reclaim your dreams—do the impossible.

  • Live Unapologetically.

Shame doesn’t have to stay shame. This book shows you how to turn it into power—and live boldly, fully, and out loud. Live without apology.

About the Author

I wrote this book because I needed it. But also because the women I coach, mentor, and teach? They needed it too. I wrote it for them. And I wrote it for you.

If you’ve ever had to make a way while carrying more than your share, this book is for you. Not for escape—but as a reminder, an anchor, and a push to keep going.
