The Talk Back is the premiere event for women who mother from the margins of society AND for the social workers, human service providers, organizations/institutions, and community members that have an impact on our lives. An Infamous Mothers production, this conference is our social enterprise’s annual capstone event. Centering the voices of "infamous mothers," it is a platform to use our gifts, talents, education and life experiences to "talk back" to the different kinds of authority that shape our identities and practices as caretakers. Highlighting the year’s key issues, activities and lessons, the Talk Back offers personal and professional development opportunities for both infamous mothers and the ecosystem that shapes our existence. Filled with transparency and testimony, each year we aim to create powerful workshops, talks and seminars that honor the ancient wisdom of emotion as well as intellect. Who should attend this conference? The following women are invited to register:

  • Infamous Mothers
  • social workers
  • human service providers
  • healthcare professionals
  • teachers/academics
  • suburban housewives
  • and EVERY woman who wants to build a bridge with and engage marginalized moms from a place of power
